Seminar, exhibition and calendar in edition

In November 2024, artist and chef Steffi Parlow and 8 students from the University of Arts Linz in Austria headed out to feel, taste and smell what food can do. In order to discover the cultural, historical and political dimensions of culinary and artistic practices, they used a broad variety of mediums, materials and different approaches that led them to a collective working method. Along their way, they encountered the familiar and the unknown. And found the unexpected in the most surprising places.
An essence of this journey was shown in the exhibition ‘Gratisprobe’ (Free Sample) on 15 January 2025 in the Sculpture/Ceramics Department at the University of Art and Design Linz.
A calendar was also part of the exhibition. In addition to the original calendar, there was a limited edition of 12 black-and-white calendars that were raffled off to visitors.
